  • pull fading...help!

I moved to college several months ago, and rarely played. When I finally came back for the break, I hadn't played for a solid two months. My divots are pointing left and I am pull fading my shots, as opposed to the powerful draw that I like and used to have. Does this mean that I am coming over the top of the ball? Does anyone know any thought processes I can use or training methods I can use to help correct this? I need some quick help so that I can attempt a tryout at the golf team!

I am open to correction, but I would think you are coming over the top with the body too far ahead of the hands. let the hands and arms be the guide for the club, and the upper body will fall into place. imagine the club attacking the back of the ball with the hands always in front of the clubhead

This is a path issue. You've got the clubface square to target, but you're coming from the outside. Change your path.

Hi this is my first post here. I have the same problem. I think it's something to do with an over the top move, a big lateral slide of the hips causing the clubface to open or i don't rotate my lower body (hips) through impact. I kind of feel like I'm hitting at the ball and then I'm getting stuck and if I clear my hips a little better I think and feel that's right

I think I understand now........along with the right hand drill.......makes all the sense in the world.

It pays too checkout all the threads and posts.

          Thanks

At the start of your downswing try thinking about droping your hands toward your back foot, this worked for me.
