This is familiar. Oh yes. Neil18 and slater170 hijacking a thread. If you can't discuss the subject of this thread, all it shows is that you can't discuss the subject of this thread. I think I look pretty good compared to what you two look like right now, even if it's completely irrelevant to the subject of this thread.
So, any other opinion on the subject? We know that Neil18 is fresh out of opinions, so is slater170 out of opinions on the subject of this thread. Thank you for your contributions, Neil18 and slater170, come again.
Yeah but the only thing you can't see is where the ball went in those videos!
If it went 300 yards down the middle of the fairway, then Mr Levacs "peculiar method" works for him, which is his point.................I think.
On the other hand..........................
I have been doing this a long time, I don't have to see the ball to tell you, there no way, no how, did that swing on the video produce a three hundred yard drive, and if it went anywhere near the center of the fairway, it was by accident.

thanks but no thanks
i see enough pissing contests at work
Well, I tend to agree with most Mr. Levac's discription. Fundamnetals are just a basic, starting point. In golf, the peculiarities are those constituents added by the individual to enhance their own swing after a fundamental start. The play on words starts with the difference between what is a fundamental, and what is considered fundamentally sound by different people. As an example the three grips people use are all fundamentally sound grips. Now, if you take the Vardon grip, which in itself is fundamentally sound, and say you change it to Jim Furyk's grip, then that is the peculiarity. GJS
hi
i think there are a number of good points made and some do make you think even if you dont agree with them, i do think we can all disagree without turning it into a slaging match. remember were here to try and help each other improve our games.

Hang on a minute buster. You never had a problem with me posting on a thread when I agreed with you.
Hijacking a thread? No. It's called posting on a thread. I'm free to post on any thread I like. Despite what you might think, you don't own the place.
I figured since your normally so quick to respond, you'd post your swing on this thread at the request of another member. 20 minutes later you hadn't, so I saved you the trouble and admittedly was fueling the debate thoroughly expecting your predictable and sore comments, because I've seen how your threads go before. You're not as clever as you think you are. Just gloriously predictable.
The problem you've got now is that those who hadn't been party to the thread discussing your swing in-particular have now seen your swing and some can't believe that the talk and the walk are from the same person.
I'd seen your swing before. In all honesty, I think it ain't that bad, and have never suggested otherwise. If it gets your job done then fine. In fact I do recall giving you some constructive critisism at one stage.
I think it's about time you put your high and mighty, better than thou attitude to bed. You seem to have a knack of rubbing people up the wrong way. Just can't believe that you haven't realised it yourself with the continual feedback you get on your threads. But then whilst your sniffing your own liver, you can't see much anyway.
Lets agree to not post on each others threads in future eh? I'm sure you don't want to read any more of mine. I can't be bothered to read any more of yours.
Prediction: There will be a fairly swift response from ML to this cos he won't like it. He'll quickly want to prove to himself (again) that he is more clever than I, and do so with all the words in his vocabulary. Or he'll read this prediction and not post any more in an attempt to prove that he isn't predictable, but he'll want to and it'll eat him up. You'll notice through history that his word is always the last and best. That's why his threads go on for weeks.
Now that you know that there is a thread to talk about my swing, you'll be the nice poster and post your derogatory comments there. Thank you.
My post wasn't derogatory, or didn't mean to be, just a fact as I saw it. I posted on the other thread, just to lighten things up, I didn't mention anything in regards to your swing, since anything I saw would be useless. Has far as I can tell, your way and my way are very much opposed to each other. I believe in fundamentals, address position and posture and grip is everything in the swing. All swings will improve by working on these areas. For some reason most people just don't understand the primary fundamental, which is changes in address position or grip or posture makes ALL of these positions people keep trying to make themself get into, become pretty much automatic. Which is why I preach fundamentals.

Met people like you before, Martin. Does it show?
I'm outta here.
I just wanted to quote you so we all know exactly what subject you wish to discuss, Neil18. Your opinion has been noted.
Well it seems to me that what we have here is a failure to communicate. That's from "Cool Hand Luke". We get twisted off in jargon which does not really equate to the "game" which is to get the ball into hole with the fewest number of strokes and foot wedges. The "game" can be learned by oneself....i.e. the ignorant teaching the ignorant which is a good way to go. You can take expensive lesson's and learn how to play from an instructor (or several different instructor's). You take it to the tee box and hit the ball down the fairway or into the hazard. If you are fortunate to be able to train your muscles, or have talent or learn from someone it does not depend on the jargon who you achieve the end result...getting the ball in the hole. Like Nick Price once said...you can't birdie them all if you did not birdie the first. For the professional that is the ultimate goal. For myself I would like to par every hole. That would really be a stretch but I know that on the courses I play I can par every hole....I've done it but not all on the same day. If I had the time to practice, correct practice 6 to 8 hours a day I might do it. But I am not going to dedicate that much time to a "game" unless my lively-hood depended on it. That's my take on it....leave the jargon in the locker room. Golf is in the doing, whatever way you want to do it. It has no relationship to talking about it. Golf is visualization and muscle memory. Only in the strategy of playing the game do you verbalize. EOM.
