6/100 refers to the position that most (if not all) pros are in at six one hundredths of a second before impact.
This position consists of the shaft is parallel to the ground and the hands are at or ahead of the back/lag leg thigh.
The logic, I think, is that this is such a common position for pros that it must be something to strive for.
The best example is Els, find a swing sequence face on and you will quickly realize what the position I am talking about.
