  • Left wrist and delofting irons

    Hi Guys
I posted a thread a while ago about ball trajectory and the left wrist at impact was mentioned all the time.
I think I have finally mastered the concept after reading a Tiger Woods article in our local Golfdigest. What he said was to let the knuckles of your left hand point towards the ground at impact. It worked/helped me a lot and I'm getting more clean strikes with my irons and a lower trajectory as well.
Just thought i'de share this simple piece of info that worked for me.

Thats so funny you mention that. I have used that as well, so well, I used it as an example on 2 previous threads I responded to. LOL.

Agreed, funny that you would mention it. I've been having swing problems for years... weak push slices, fat shots, even the dreaded shanks. Part of the problem was me taking it too far inside on the backswing.... but even when I fixed that my hands felt (and looked) "flippy".

I saw that same article, and after watching a few swings of the masters finally decided to try it at the range... what a difference at impact. Finally felt like I was pinching the ball, and pulling my hands through impact instead of flipping them through.

Can't wait to try it on the course!
