Re: Iron Swing / Wood Swing
Most out-in swing paths can be traced back to and open club face at impact and subsequent compensation in the downswing but not all. Think of the fault in reverse... If a player has inadequate lower body movent and creates swing speed by unwinding his upper body first, the club head will be thrown away from the body and contine out-in. The hands then are forced to play a very passive role or possible open the face as a result - not the cause. Early extension may also cause out-in. You should have seen the hooks o hit last summer ! Out-in & closed made for a few choice words on the course !
