  • Low Slices with my driver, 3 wood and 5 wood

went golfing the other day.It was fun, except for on my drives. Most of the drives i hit were low flying slices. What could be causing that? And with my irons they were just barely fading but they were going 5 - 10 yards shorter than what they did in the fall (that cud be be cuz i changed my swing over the winter.) Ne tips on helping me get those extra yards back with my irons and getting rid of that low slice?

    Thanx

Slices normally create higher ball flight as the open face at impact adds loft to the clubface (opposite for hooks). I would suggest that you are slicing with low ball flight due to ball position, you probably have the ball too far back, at impact this is allowing the clubface to still be open and you will probably have your hands and head ahead of the ball, this delofts the club and will create a lower ball flight.

Set the ball around in line with your left armpit, hands level with the ball at address with your driver, keep your head behind the ball at impact.
