where should the hands be at address when hitting a 3 wood off the tee?
i have head, lead shoulder and hands behind the ball but i am not hitting a straight shot.
shoulder the hands be further forward? say level or slightly in front?

    Hi mate

Like I'm an expert at this right but I do know about not hitting the ball straight.

    Some thoughts though.

You say "not straight" but don't say what kind of flight so, you've might have seen this before, but it could help

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but if your lead shoulder is behind the ball then perhaps the ball is too far forward?

For what it is worth I treat the 3W off the tee much the same as a driver, hands a little behind the ball in order to promote hitting the ball on the up.

      Hi Slats,

The 3 wood can answer that one for you.

Ball 2/3 inches inside left heel, right foot just wider than right shoulder, right shoulder a little lower than left, head just behind the ball clubface square to target and grounded. Where does the shaft lie naturally? the design of the club will lay the shaft at the optimum angle it was designed for, grip it there and twat away.
