when on the backswing and you take the clubface straight back from the ball and the club gets to level with the ground at waist hieght do you cock your wrists physically or do you just let them cock themselves on the way up? mines dont seem to cock until a good bit up on my backswing i dont think about ever cocking my wrists what is the right way

Its pretty natural for me, unless I am hitting some kind of flop shot where I force the wrist cock and want to flip my hands through impact.
There are so many schools of thought on this. But my train of thought....the more loft on the club, the more I press my hands forward at address and the earlier I set the club in my backswing.

good question!! ive been thinking about that for a whiie aswell. Ive been told by a pro that i wasnt cocking them early enough and to conciously do it to stop me overswinging. but a lot of material says it should happen naturally. I will let some one else give a more definitive answer.
