    Re: Followthrough

    Hi Guys,

I am glad you mention the finish and how important it is to hold it good or bad, this promotes good balance throughout the swing.

MySpace Videos: We all should have lessons, heres my latest. by Ian

He is a link to my last lesson, we have been working on staying behind the ball, which helps me get though to a better finish and hold it for a second.

"Strangely to say, the only way humans can have a 100% swing consistency is if our shoulders are attached around our navel."

Yeh, I am lost also on this.

    Ian.

I think it means that the main reason for inconsistent swing motions is movement of the spine, be it up/down or left/right.

If the shoulders were attached at the navel, rotation would be the only possible range of motion, and that is what we try to get in the golf swing - proper rotation.

Let me explain that "attached to navel" statement with this simple illustration:

I was going explain in words, but a simple pic does a better job.

Ah - I was close but not quite there.

And you're right ... simple picture explains it all.
