  • Too low trajectory on all shots

Now that the greens are starting to harden here in the UK i am having trouble keeping the ball on the green with approach shots because i hit the ball far too low. I have the same problem with my woods and driver, i am not getting the trajectory i want.

my dad said i seem to stay really low after impact and it looks like i am trying to punch every shot resulting in it going really low.

Can anyone help or give me some drills to try and hit the ball higher? I have regular shafted graphite shafts in both my irons and woods so i know the equipment is not the reason.

    Thanks

sounds as if the ball is too far back in your stance and your hands are too far ahead of the ball - hence delofting the clubs. try moving the ball foward and swing through to the target over your shoulder.

      1) Finish high.

      2) Make a steeper backswing and downswing.

Flat swing with a low finish will equal a low shot.

Also agree with moving the ball more to the middle, if not, left of middle of your stance with short & mid irons.

Make sure you are staying behind the ball at impact with your axis tilted away from the target. That should help immediately without making a bunch of other changes.

Hit down to go up! Do not try and scoop the ball in the air, it will only end in disaster. As others have said check that your ball position hasn't crept back of center.
