  • More questions about the right hand drill

Can somebody who used the right hand drill please answer my question ?

Right, I swing back and at the top of my backswing my right hand is in a cupped position. Do I keep that exact cupped position at impact ?

That is what I want to know.

I've been working on this but I've noticed that my right hand is only slightly cupped at impact and not in the position it was at the top of the swing.

    Thanks !!

You are doing a good job then, by keeping the hand slightly cupped is "not swatting" so the RHD is doing it's trick.

      Thanks !

I was asking because I hit some really wild shots today: Pushes, pulls, hooks, missed a few greens with a wedge.

It was a medal and I was one under gross after 7. I then had only 2 pars and finished with a 78. A really disapointing round.

I've been a 5 handicapper for the last 10 years and I can't seem to make that breakthough and get down to 4 or 3.

Were you using the RHD idea during the wild round? If so, how long have you been trying to practice it?

I've been using the RHD for the last year and a half. My game as really come on, ball striking wise. I don't have a horrible push shot I used to have.

However today I couldn't seem to hit a dead straight shot. I pulled a couple of wedges into bunkers which led to dropped shots.
