  • Question about a drill that seems to help me

I have struggled for awhile with on and off again S***** along with a really early release. Recently I started using a drill that is at least getting me to swing inside. During practice a place a ball outside of the ball I intend to hit parallel to the target line. If I line uo to the parallel ball but swing and hit the inside ball, I hit in the center. The problem is that when I remove the outside ball, it's back to the hosel rockets. Any suggestions about when I play a round? Staring to think that this is a big mental block that I have to get over. Thanks in advance!

Re: Question about a drill that seems to help me

For all bad shots it is always best that the golfer to learn what causes these bad shots. If you know what causes them, they are easier to fix while on the course, and are more of a long term fix.

Do yourself a favor. Do a search what causes a shanked ball. There is alot more to it than just hitting the ball with the hosel of the club. After you understand the cause, the fix will be easier to understand.
