GRIP PROBLEMS on Hot Humid Days

A couple times this year I've had the problem of the club slipping in my right (non glove hand). When this happens I can't turn the face over and hit wicked, wicked short slices. The club face is left wide open when this happens. And it's killed my round every time cause I can't get my palm/fingers dry enough.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I was thinking about wearing a glove on my right hand when it's hot and humid out. Bad idea?

Or could I have some sort of grip problem, where it shouldn't matter that my right hand is slick?

One of the things I do on hot humid days is carry a large cup of ice with me and refill it with ice every time the cart girl comes around. I take two or three cubes of ice and rub them in my hand for a minute or so while I'm waiting on the tee. After I dry my hand off, my hands will stay cool for the next hole and then I'll redo my hands again on the next tee.

Try that next time, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprized.

Get a new winn grip. These grips are more tackey then rubber or leather.

I am probably in the minority with this opinion, but I have started to wear gloves on both hands pretty much all the time. Not so much for my golf swing grip, but due to effects of mother nature. When it is colder, wearing two gloves are a no brainer. However, I just recently found out about the bad effects of the sun on back of my hands. Not cancer, but sun damaged just the same. Do a search on sun poisoning to see what I mean. I always knew about, and used sunscreen. I just never used it adequately on my hands due to possibly causing slippery grip. So in addition to solving a sweaty hand problem, here is another reason to wear two gloves if you tend to play in sunny conditions most of the time. Trust me in10, 20, 30, or 40 years you will be glad you did. GJS

Thanks for all the suggestions. I bought a new glove for my right hand and hit the range. Seemed to work fine. I didn't lose much, if any touch with the club. New grips at this point are not an option. I'm married! Golfing and the range are about all I can get away with during the season. Plus these are new clubs, so I can't justify re-gripping just yet. The Callaway grips are not my favorite, but they'll do for now.

Can't advise on your problem. Mid summer in Scotland we are more likely to suffer from frostbite.
