  • Jones' Swing the Clubhead for high handicapper

I love this game and am like some addict because I want to quit and can't.

I have read several books on how to swing the club and have not found much help. However, searching these forums, Ernest Jones' name keeps popping up.

What about his Swing the Clubhead (1952 edition)? I'm after a simple swing to get the job done. I'm not trying to get to a single handicap. I don't have the time to practice and play to get there. However, if I can play fairly consistent bogey golf and can get around the course in a fairly decent fashion, I will be happy. Any thoughts.

    Thanks much.

    hi bill
i suppose i we are all different but you need to find one technique and stick with it,
this week its all ernest jones, next week it will be all hogan and the week after it will all be a.n.other

i have a couple of books but i suppose my learning has come from david leadbetters book 100% golf, coupled with advice from this site.
one thing to be wary of is taking on too many bits of advice that can contradict each other

I found this method caused me to be too handsy. Having read too many instructional books I stumbled across George Knudson's "The Natural Golf Swing". Don't confuse this book with the methodology that uses Moe Norman's swing as a basis.

Knudson teaches the body swings the arms with passive hands and arms. The book is short and an easy read. Good luck.
