Bought Stan Utley's "Art of Short Game" in which he recommends more weight on the left side for short game shots. Tried it and liked it, much better contact with the ball, hiting fat seems to be a thing in the past, but give me neough time...
Anyway, I began experimenting with this in my full swing. Moving more weight over to m left side and levelling my shoulders (they are square but the right isn't dipping as much). Rotating I fell how my weight moves over to my right side, but there is still tension in my left leg, specifically on the inside below my knee. This results in absolutely crisp shots, or some nasty slices or ball being hit too close to the hosel. The good shots require much less effort than my present swing/method.
So my question is, should you set up with more weight towards your left side provided it moves right in the backswing (this requires a full shoulder turn), and if you do so, what are the possible problem areas? I read a lot about 60/40 or 70/30 distribution, but not having any method of measuring this, it doesn't really help. Feeling a tilt towards the target in my upper body and tension in my left leg I understand. Should I feel something else?
