Right arm question

Just curious how folks work the right arm in the backswing for driver. For irons, the right arm hinges up into the waiter's tray position soon on the backswing. If you try this with longer clubs such as driver, you will be too steep.
How do you all handle the driver in getting into the tray position at the top?
I delay the tray position with longer shafted clubs and just wondered if anyone else does this to avoid the steep position.

I have not thought much about this one Tom. Just had a peek in the mirror and the only difference with me is that as my shorter clubs become more laid off at the top it restricts the upright angle of my right forearm. If I try and force the backswing further with my irons my waiter position seems the same as the driver.

I have found that with longer clubs I need to turn more inside to keep the waiter position.

Is that not something that happens naturally with the plane change due to the longer club?
