I played a really good round yesterday and all the time I was conscious of the fact that I had a nice slow peice of music running through my head (it was the last thing I heard on the car stereo as I parked the car)
It seemed to do wonders for my tempo and general feeling and I remember Jack Nicklaus saying he once shot 63 with "Moon River" runnng through his head all day.
This has happened to me before but I find that it's difficult to manufacture the situation, ie. remember the song that worked and try and think of it when you're playing, it seems to be more of a subconcious thing and you can't just summon it up to order, worth thinking about though?
By the way, not that anybody will have heard of it, but it was "Pen and Notebook" by Camera Obscura, and I'll make sure it's the last thing I hear before the monthly medal tomorrow!
