Problems

Hey people,

I am have a few swing problems that I hope somebody can help me out with.

Driving - I either start the ball straight then a high wild slice happens, or I shoot it low left and it stays dead straight.

Irons - I either block the ball high right but straight, or hook it??

I play off 14 due mainly to good scrambling skills and I do strike the ball quite well, just too unpredictable. I am prone to shanking a few and hit most of my drives on the inside of the driver.

Pls help?!?

with your driver it sounds like you are coming down to steep on the ball which results in the high shot and not turning your shoulders enough on your backswing resulting in an out to in swing path which will cause it to slice.

Well! It sounds like an inconsistent swing to me.

Sounds like some of these are happening:

Out to in swingpath
Clubface sometimes open at impact, sometimes closed
Swinging off plane, generally too steep.

I know a lot has been said about this recently but why not buy yourself the 3 Skills book? it costs no more than a box of premium golf balls and I expect you are loosing a number of them by what you have said It should give you a good plan to improve your ball striking.
