    Re: False Shoulder Turn Problems

As stated i would look at your whole swing, you can see your not using your legs and trunk effectively on the back swing, no wind up of body. You also have a back swing that is not on line, which could account for lack of turn.

It looks like you are playing 70% shots, trying to guide it in, hands and arms.

At the top of your swing you have very little hip rotation, R hip needs to bump then rotate, creating room and allowing your left shoulder the ability to turn over your right leg. This gives you your weight shift.

You have a great leg action through the ball, clearing hips well with good extension.

May be a lesson with a good pro will give you a better direction to go in.

    Hope this may help.
    Cheers.

Doctor said I needed an eye exam in 2 months, if I am the only one seeing that, may need to be sooner, for real.

Derek, so you want to emulate the best. Good for you and I'd like to help you a bit here.

Do you want to send the ball as close to your target as possible?

        Or

Do you want to swing the club exactly the way you want and move your body exactly the way you want?

Golf is not a dance contest where you must move your body in graceful ways to please the eye. Golf is a game of skill. The skill is to send a ball to a target using a club. The better you do that, the better you play golf. The video you posted shows adequate technique although perhaps a little out of control, a little exaggerated. It also shows some intentions. You intend to move your feet as little as possible, if not at all. You intend to apply more force right around impact. You intend to do a bunch of things but in the end you still can't strike the ball properly. Instead, perhaps if your intention was to strike the ball properly, you wouldn't do things too much, you wouldn't exaggerate the motions, you wouldn't look so out of control.

Sorry still not getting what your saying.
strong or weak grip can give same club head position at top of swing?
            strong/weak, wrists hinge the same?

Can you explain it with a you tube vid

Debating, not wanting to win , i like to see/here differing points of view on the mechanics of the golf swing.
            Cheers
