  • Work out Kinks in Swing

Hello everybody. I would just like to tell some people out there that are having problems with the swing slice, hook, pull or push i have a 2 solutions that should help smoothen things out. First is when on driving range and your swinging bad or not great. Take out the putter and just start your take-away like you would when you put except do a full swing and after doing that for a while you should be hitting the ball much better. Second let nature take it place: meaning if when you swing the club and feel that you are manufacturing something in the swing for example manufacturing the release of the wrists you force the action will cause you to usually hit a bad shot but if you let nature take it's place you will actually release the wrists perfectly. If you don't understand the throw a ball you will find that just when you are about to throw the ball your wrists release and you don't even know it. So always let nature take it's place, you will know if you are letting this happen when you swing and hit the ball and if you feel something isn't feeling right in the swing then you are manufacturing something in the swing which isn't good. i hope these tips helped you out in golf so you can play to the best of you're ability.

    Happy Golfing Always: Jason

    Very interesting.

It's something which I've done from time to time. I started doing it really because I have an old putter with a clear weighting bias towards the head. You can really feel that as you swing it. I often go back to that, especially when I haven't played for a while, just to get the feel.

      I once played 18 holes with just a putter. I broke 100.

          FWIW,

Willie Carter was known to hit his putter over 200 yards from the tee and used to beat other golfers using just the putter, or just his 7 iron.. Once, he even shot a 34 for nine holes with just the putter. See http://www.williecartergolfcenter.com/index.htmf or more details.

HardHitter is totally correct. Sometimes when I'm going bad on the range, I go all the way back down to hitting 40 yard pitches with a sandwedge, just to start feeling good impact and getting in a groove. Move up with your clubs from there. But Hardhitter said it should become more natural. And if you feel something funky - you are manufacturing something. Sometimes your best swings are when you are totally focused on the target and forget all about your swing mechanics. I think that golf should be "consciously learned - and subconsciously performed'. Makes some sense. Most players are thinking about 8 things they want to happen during the swing and 5 things they don't want to happen. How can that be a natural and flowing swing?
