just like Trevino but left handed.
thats what i think he means.

    Bill,

He says that he plays his first shot with an 8 iron facing the target but the second shot with the 8 iron 30 degrees offset. This is what is confusing.

My only guess is that he is talking about when he's at the driving range and aiming straight down the range then trying to align at a different target and struggling to align his body?
If thats the case I can understand where he is coming from and my only advice would be to ask to be in one of the bays at the end of the range and to make sure you put 2 clubs down in a T shape to help you get your alignment correct.

Bingo!!!! That is precisely the situation I'm talking about. But in this case, I use my eight iron off the tee lined up perfectly to the target. However for my second shot, the target is no longer directly in front of me [I'm just using this as an example] instead, the target is 30° to the right. Now my normal alignment for that shot, which is incorrect, hence the question -- is to have my alignment 30° to the left of the target [I'm a lefty] -- now I know this is wrong, but it feels right. I'm wondering what swing flaw, I may be compensating for? Now, if this makes my question unclear, please refer back to the previous post -- that member understood me. Sorry for all of the confusion! In a nutshell, when the target is not directly in front of me, I tend to align myself 30° to the left of the target -- it feels right -- and it is utterly wrong.

I would first pick out an intermediant target whether it be grass, leaf, sunflower seed....etc...Just something in front of the ball in line with your target then when walking up to the ball that will make you line up correctly whether it feels right or not...30* right or 30* left....You have an aiming point if you trust it.
