I may be completely missing the point here, but I can progressively move my weight, or move it instantly, but what's the relationship in timing between progressively moving the weight and my hands? I could progressively move it ahead of my hands, or with my hands, if you see what I mean.
I'm so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!

A good point Jamb. I must remember that development in the golf swing, 99% of the time, involves taking things out, not adding things.
Martin said it best in his recent thread. The good players make it look simple because they've found a simple way to do it.
My "handsy-ness" is now only evident after the ball has gone, but it still means I've used them improperly before impact which inhibits my turn. I was a religious swatter. It's gonna take some time.

When you talk of "handsy-ness" and swatting I don't see that in your swing. IMO allowing the wrists to hinge in an up and down motion along with the rotation of the wrists and forearms creates a good release and prevents casting. It's more a case of the wrists hinging back and forward where they are attempting to get under the ball that should be avoided.

The tell tale sign is halfway through the follow-through. My right hand is overtaking my left (and not in a good way - big collapse of my left wrist) and I still don't get the club up quick enough after impact. I chase after impact with my right hand which can lead to some huge divots and inconsistent strikes. The lag begins to decrease too early still in the downswing, although it is miles better than it was.
My flip through the ball is more of an effort at an extra bit of oomph rather than trying to get under the ball. It just happens to be the same action and I really don't need it. Too inconsistent.
If I could have a right hand transplant I'd be fine!

Re: Weight Shift
And get Greg Norman's Secret. Much cheaper then a transplant (unless you have really good insurance.)

Re: Weight Shift
OK, had a lesson on Wednesday and my coach seems to have struck the key with me.
I was too focused on my rotation.
Rotation accounts for a small portion of the power in a golf swing. Like it or not, power and club head speed comes from how fast the arms and hands are moving.
I'm holding the club with my hands, which are attached to my arms. So hit the damn ball with my arms (right arm in particular) whilst synching it with my turn! Not the other way around! You don't see Roger Federer lead into a forehand with his body do you??!!
Der!
No drills involved, just a change in the mental picture of what my golf swing should be doing.
Worked absolute wonders. And so simple.
