    I would like some more info on this. I thought I understood,but maybe I don't.

    Is this meaning to come into impact with the side of the hand and not the back of it?

    Especially with a stronger grip?

    It's to fight a hook. If you are susceptible to hooking the idea is to feel you lead into the ball with the bottom of your right hand as if you are making a karate chop, this delays the wrists releasing.
