Re: GPS is here to stay

I don't really see how much it could really help. For pros I understand because they have like 8 different swings they can make with every club that have like a yard of difference in distance, but for the guy that plays a few times a week I don't see it helping all that much besides maybe the 100 yds and in shots. Prolly can't help anymore than a few lessons that cost the same amount.

You will find out as you play more golf that one swing system is what you need to develop a good game and score well. How many times do you see the pro’s lay up on a hole 115 – 125 out so they can play a stock/regular shot into a green, you can count on one hand the amount of times they play a shot that is outside there stock shot.

So the theory of pro’s hitting 8 different swings they can make with every club that have like a yard is a myth. It’s true they possibly could hit 2 clubs like 7 or 8 but will use only one club with a standard swing. There strategy is to make a regular/stock shot with every shot; it’s the only way to achieve consistency.

The above man knows what he is talking about ...

It would be interesting to hear what handicaps you folks play of when comments for and against are made on GPS. This may be frowned upon but is relative to the use of GPS I think.
