  • Great Mental Game tip -

Lets share our best mental game tips. One that I read recently that helped a lot in my tourney's is -

Focus, Focus, Focus - Your brain works to render the dominant image that you hold in your head. If your image is one of not “hitting the bunker”, the bunker is the most likely outcome you will create. Instead, concentrate on where you intend the ball to go at the exclusion of all else.

    Amen. Positive-outcome and Perfection-anticipation...

And when the inevitable happens where you find yourself in negative situations: selective amnesia.

Indecision is one of the main reasons you miss the target. If there is one thing you can take with you onto the golf course the next time you play is to decide on a club stick with it and make a positive swing at the target you have chosen.

I think if you make that decision and stick to it you will have more success than failure.

Even on putting, make that decision that it breaks X amount and stick to that, then make that confidant stroke you know you can make to that target.

      Be positive in your decision.

      Regards Cliff

This is similar to the previous but with a slightly different take.

Imagine a line drawn 3 feet behind the ball, this is the decision line, all decisions on club selection, target, ball flight etc are made behind this line. Cross the line and totally commit to the shot.
