  • Using a Mirror - So Many Benefit!

I get wordy. So I will try to keep this one short, because it works.

If you haven't watched yourself swing in front of a mirror. Try it today. Watching yourself on video is one thing. But to be able to instantly change things is something that only lessons can duplicate.

Case in point: I have clubs all over my house. I swing outside, inside, in the garage, and in front of the mirror in my bedroom. For whatever reason, I grabbed my 9i this morning and was making a couple swings. I setup, then immediately looked at myself in the mirror. WOW! Clubface, feet, knees and hips were all square to the target. But my shoulders were open. I could see my right shoulder in the mirror (left shoulder was closer to the mirror and I am righty) so that meant my shoulders were OPEN! I felt square. I couldn't believe my eyes. When I adjusted to square, I felt closed, but I was really square!!!

On Sunday I was pulling my irons and fading my drives. Could have been the cause. We will see....l

You can look at your setup, waggle, 1/2 backswing position, full backswing, impact, etc etc etc. You can make changes on the fly if things look funky. I watched a show on Davis Love III and he set up a mirror in his garage to do this. He will even put an impact bag infront of the mirror to look at true impact.

Try it. Might be suprised at what you see... just like me!

No wonder there are a lot of mirrors in the driving range...
