  • Follow through

at the top of your back swing as u start to follow through start slower and steady then build up your speed steadily like a car. you will be much more consistent and be able to control your spin, draw, and be much more accurate. you will get the same power if not more as you will not be spending alll your power on the start but when you are hitting the ball. you will be able to concentrate on your big muscles a bit more leading to more club head speed.

    Re: Follow through

I struggle with coordination from the top of my backswing and there a times when i completely lose my swing and start casting from the top. Are there any good drills that would allow me to relearn the downswing (weight shift, drop into the slot, follow through)?

    Thanks in advance

      Re: Follow through

yes ofcourse, heres a couple i made and a way to explain, your whole swing is like a SPRING you wind it up on the backswing and release it on the follow through. you must be rotating your hips to mush there fore bringing your club back more then parrael. only rotate your hips around 40 degree. it helps if you point your foot that is towards the taget out this stops your his from rotating.your club should be just above parrael on the top of your backswing. to mak sure you dont go to far back keep your left arm straight, and makesure your right elbow is pointing down to the ground. when you are about to unwind the SPRING or start your follow through, start with your hips, almost kicking them around as much as you can go, let your arms follow. Note: back towards back away. (rotation of the shoulders.)the foot you pointed out helps you get fully around as if it is straight it restricts a full turn. all you need to do is have a wide swing arc, steady base, tight hips and make sure you reac the slot at the top. ie. club just above parreal
