I use a cobra 440Z 9 degree. I achieve a max distance and carry of about 280. To me, I feel this is as much as I would expect. Krutches, you must be really hitting it well to get those results. I would concentrate on working on your irons. The distance you quote for irons is well below what you should be achieving. I hit my 9 about 130, 8 about 145, and 7 about 160. I would think these distances are normal assuming everything in the swing is correct. Why dont you go and invest in a few lessons on iron play? If you can combine good iron play with your driver distance, then you should be a happy camper.

      hi Long Tee
i seem to hit the ball about 10 yards shorter than you for my irons but i think that is down to my zing irons being older and having more loft than the newer clubs. i do agree that the distant your getting with your irons are a good length and most handicap golfers would be happy with that.
maybe Krutches is also using older irons and have the older loft on them and hit higher like mind do.
think it was about 15 years ago they took loft of the irons to make them seem as if they were longer. all club makers seemed to do this so they could say there clubs were longer.
      cheers
