Will an 8 degree give me better distance

I am hitting an R7 super stiff shaft 10.5 degree driver. Swing was tested at 120 mpg and the ball is going high with a carry of 240 and NO ROLL, giving me a long approach. I'm 6' 3" about 230 lbs and can get on (or close) from about 160, but seem to be struggling with holes greater than 400 yrds. Will an 8 degree give me a better chance?? Any suggestions?

I have been playing for since 12...now 35. Score around 95 currently, mostly a weekend warrior, playing now 2x weekly. I'm thinking getting closer can knock off at least 5 strokes... assuming I can maintain and improve the short game.

The reason for not having any roll is not to do with the loft of the driver, it is to do with the way you hit it. Tiger woods is currently using a 10.5* driver last time I heard and I don't see any problem with his roll. Now I am taking a wild stab in the dark, as we don't have any video of your swing but I would guess that you could be releasing the club too early, playing the ball too far back in your stance, having a steep downswing instead of a shallow hitting through the ball. There is some food for thought to start with.

But the long and the short of it is if you change your driver, you may find it harder to hit straight, still have a high ball flight and a hole in your back pocket.

i use to use a ping eye2 8 degree driver that i could hit about 260 yards. i changed to a 10 degree zing2 and started hitting about 270 yards.
the zings metal head gave me about 10 more yards but the ball was much higher in the air to the eye2 driver.
i found that there was not much distance diffrence between them but more how the ball flew in the air. the 8 degree driver was better when the wind was blowing hard but the 10 degree was great with the wind behind you.
i got more run with the 8 degree but felt i put the ball where i wanted more with the 10 degree.
you might find you gain a few more yards but if the ground is damp you could lose a more yards than you do with the 10.5.
i also found it easer to hit the sweet spot on the 10 degree than the 8 drgree and think the angle you come into the ball is more important with the 8 degree driver.
really you wount know till you try it and see not only how it feels in your hand but also if you like the ball flight with the 8 drgree driver.
