If this happens off the tee then you may be catching the ball on the bottom of the clubface, this will generate a lower flight. If this is the case your tee will tend to still be in the ground after your shot. Try teeing the ball a bit higher, tilt your spine a little to the right at address. Concentrate on the bottom of the ball and try to hit it on the upswing.
Make sure you are not hooding or closing the clubface at address; let the club lay behind the ball as it was intended.
Also, check that your left shoulder is higher than the right at address and that you are catching the ball on the upswing which means for driver you should tee it higher and stay behind the ball at impact.
Also, make sure you are not moving off the ball during your swing, keeping your head steady throughout the swing and in the same position as it was at address is important.
One more thing-as is my custom-I must remind you to make sure you are hinging your wrists fully, lack of wrist hinge will produce some pretty low screamers.
If you are unsure how to hinge your wrists, let me know.
As long as you are not topping the ball it is the following fault
LACK OF LOFT AT IMPACT
This could be down to
1. a closed clubface (do you draw or hook or pull the ball)
2. clubshaft is leaning too far forward of the ball at impact thus delofting the club.
to fix number 1. work on opening the face by either changing your grip to a weaker one (medium difficulty), working on the clubface during the swing (no guarantee that it will work at impact) or practice geting the club to come in faceing more to the right, or just open the face at address and make te same normal swing.
If number 2 is the problem then maybe your ball position is too far back at address, or maybe your head is too far forward at impact. Make swings looking at the back of the ball (tee up with the logo at the back). Make sure to keep your weight moving forward though
There's a few things I would look at to help with a low ball flight with your driver.
Seems obvious, but I would tee the golf ball up a fraction higher. I like it to be about half a ball higher above the height of the driver when addressing the ball.
Next, ensure you are playing the ball off just inside the left instep (right hander) of your left foot. This helps to make sure you are hitting the golf ball on the upswing.
You may be taking the club too far back on the inside which is moving it off the correct plane. On your backswing try to ensure you take the club back straighter and more on plane. You can practice this in front of a mirror or a window in your back yard.
Try also to raise your hands at the top of the golf swing a little bit higher to ensure you finish higher at the end of the golf swing.

1. if the guy has his head too far forward he is going to be very steep on the ball. Teeing up higher will only increase the chance of a sky shot
2.good advice but just make sure that your head it behind the ball at impact. I see people moving the ball position further forward and then getting their head more forward to try to regain the old feeling. This makes the club actually hit more donw on the ball. Somethign which you probably dont want to be doing with your particular problem.
3. Again ok advice but its not the backswing that you hit the ball with. You would need to come into the ball on your downsing more underplane. Most people hear the advice "take the club back straighter' and end up swinging too steep thus compounding your error.
4.This often has the reverse effect. High hands at the top in most cases causes a player to cut accross the ball (not all cases i know). If you are going to follow this advice then you must try to shallow the club/drop inside/ go under plane on the way down.
I think personally you need to post a vid of your swing on here so we can diagnose the problem directly. Too much guessing going on on this post and most of the advice could be detrimental to you
I would recommend at least trying these suggestions. I have personally had success with this tips and many other golfers as well. Not every tip will work for everyone.
Give them a try and if you have some success great, if not then you haven't lost anything either. A lot of golf improvement is through trial and error and some changes will work for some and not for others.
Listen guys thanks honestly but rogue s right i have been skying it lately or pulling left, when i played the medal on sat an old boy said i have the face closed at address.
Hi lads my friend wen't for a lesson with a local pro at the world of golf and he was hitting the ball quite low aswell so the local pro told him to keep right shoulder lower than left at set-up and he also advised him to keep body and head behind the ball at address and impact and try to hit the ball more on upswing and the height he is getting is unbelievable.
I wen't to my local course to play a round yesterday and the distance im getting now and my ball flight is unbelievable but what i did try aswell was opening the clubface more due to me closing the clubface with the driver and the irons but to be honest i forgot to try opening the face with the irons to see if it helps so i will try this today and let you's know how i get on with the irons aswell.
