  • Wrist Action

Hey guys. New to golf. New here. I have a basic question...in applying the "pronate/supinate" wrist approach.

Please stop me if I'm mistaken. As I understand it. On the downswing, your right wrist stays pronated (palm up) and then supinates (palm down) through impact?

    WHEN does this change happen?
    -Just after impact?
    -Just before impact?

I'm confused. Its too hard to see this in observance of the pros, as it happens too fast. Thanks for any help.

    Re: Wrist Action

It happens as late as you can and still hit it square (fully releasing). The later the better hight and spin. So drivers and lower traj. and spin rate shots want the release to happen slightly sooner from the top.

Thanks for the help. So, if I understand correctly,....it always happens AFTER impact....? Its just a matter of how soon after depending on what you are tryng to do with the ball?

      Thanks for the help!
