Meters are larger than yards, 290 Metres is 317 yards.

I hit a drive today about 320 yards

i have a drive now which goes about 280-290 consistently (i know its short but i havnt being playing long)adz!

Interesting results of a poll on the Golf Channel website. Only 9% of those who answered the poll CLAIMED to drive the ball over 280 yards. And everyone knows that the claimed distance is always way more than the actual average drive distance!
