Guys I don't know what to do, but I keep hitting the heel on my driver... How can I fix this, I have tried to move further from the ball so that the toe is even with the middle of the ball and even further than that, but I am still hitting my driva on the heel?

Re: Driver shots on heel...
You may be lunging at the ball which stretches your arms/swing beyond the inside out swing path desired.
OR:
you may be swaying beyond your right instep on backswing
OR:
you may be starting the downswing out to in, instead of in to out and casting over the top of the ball

Re: Driver shots on heel...
This may sound crazy, but at the driving range I think I might have fixed a flaw in my swing that has been driving crazy for a year now... I am apparently lunging at the ball at impact therefore causing me to hit on the heel which makes complete sense. I set the club back 4 inches behind the ball and set up as usual and upon impact the ball sails straight for an easy 250+ easily... Hitting the sweet spot is always good. If set the club behind the ball I am end up heeling the ball causing some really bad shots.

Re: Driver shots on heel...
yeah, that's exactly what I FORGOT to do today, J. I was so focused on my irons (shankin yesterday) that my driver play went to ****. Congrats on hitting it 250+ now! Great feeling. If it wasn't for my iron play to bail me out, I would've been worst than my 42 for 9 holes.

Re: Driver shots on heel...
Hey Matt it's crazy I set the club so far away from the ball it's a wonder how the clubhead makes it back to square to hit the ball... Can you believe this, I was actually hitting my balls out of my bag because of the direction of my shots I could not believe how straight the ball was going.... It's at least under control now.

Re: Driver shots on heel...
yeah, it's really awkward to set up that way - but as long as the results are straight, I wouldn't change a thing. What I try to do is set the club in the middle of my stance (with a little backward press) and just focus on swinging through, with a really weak grip the entire time - as if I'm going to throw the club onto the fairway- this promotes that upswing that had been missing from my drives.

For some reason, your mind will force your body to 'correct' your swing to avoid hitting on the heel.
Give it a try.
