I have been told that with these new oversized drivers,I have a Cleveland launcher, that it is adviseable to line up your takeaway half a clubhead inside the ball.Is this true?

Re: True or False?
I don't think that has anything to do with the size of the driver.
It's more a technique to try to avoid swinging outside-in.

A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.
For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.
Re: True or False?
Hi Neil,
Kevin Downey (president, Innovex Golf Company www.innovexgolf.com) advises the same thing - lining up your grounded driver with the toe at the ball. IIRC, the theory becomes if you then lift your driver straight up (ie where it will make contact in the swing) you'll now find that the ball and the middle of the clubface line up.
Therefore, if you're hovering your club, I'd say line it up where you want impact to occur.
