Could be boredom, if so, try keeping track of fairways hit(FIR), Greens hit(GIR), Putts, for each hole and challenge yourself.
Also, make sure you are eating and drinking something every 3 or 4 holes; crackers, fruit, no alcohol, lots of water, maybe a soda, peanuts etc. If you keep your nutrition up, your blood sugar and electrolytes will be maintained and your brain will receive what it needs to focus.
Do some stretches with a club behind your back and twist; do some squats etc. to stay limber.
Somebody posted this a while back as a free way to keep your handicap and get some of your own personal stats going. I enjoy it. I print out a card before I play and fill it out as I go along. Adds a little more fun and focus to the game.
I use the spaces on my scorecard below my name and write FIR, GIR, SS, Putts. I graph the percentages over time.
FIR: 85%
GIR: 83%
SS: 67%
Putts: 28
Fun stuff, eh?
