Had to tell people about this.

This morning, one of our chaps came back with some packages from one of our suppliers.

In the packages were a bunch of "safety signs" that must go out to all our locations.

The signs are for all our vehicles doors.

The signs read "Hand Crush Area".

One idiot guy trapped his fingers in a car door some time ago, so now we gotta have signs saying "Do not shut your fingers in the doors".

Apparently, there was even talk of setting up courses at all locations to teach people how to shut a door without sticking your fingers in it.

Unbelievable.

We had to do a course for our drivers called 'exiting the cab safely', if you don't you fall.

I remember when I was a kid if you tripped on the footpath, your mother used to slap you around the head and say "watch where you going" stupid.

Now they look for the nearest 'no win' 'no fee' solicitors for a claim against whoever........

When I was a kid in the West country we used to take apples from the local Farmers orchard and called it "Scrumping" If you were caught the Farmer swiped you with a stick

Now it's called "Stealing apples" and the kids are charged and go to court

That is SO true! That slap from mom really worked, but it became politically incorrect to slap your kids (not that I'm supporting violence at all, but it DID work).
