This site has been populated by some great people over the years and was once a thriving community. We have suffered from a few individuals that spoiled things and drove some very good people away. As a Moderator of the site I will not allow anyone to spoil the enjoyment of other members and will ban anyone who wishes to disrupt others enjoyment, I have already taken steps to do this.

I would ask those members who used to support the site and make it such a great community to return to active use so that we can share our love of this great game and help each other in our journey.

I look forward to your support.

Yep, great post Brian. I always linger around. I don't feel good enough to help anyone much. But I am soon in when I have a problem of my own and always get good advice.

IMO Brian, on this site, just like life in general, you will always encounter a moron or three as you pass through...

We just ignore the ones we can and deal with the ones we have to...

It is very clear to me that the love of our game is the common denominator for all who post here and will be why I will always return to read or to post...

Respectfully, I disagree with the premise. The forum has always been more active when there were spirited discussions....even with somewhat controversial posters. IMO, the site was more unique, interesting, useful and informative because of it.

That said, the owner and moderators determine what is appropriate for this site and I respect that 100 percent. I consider myself a very fortunate guest and will continue to participate (albeit more infrequent) as long as they will have me.

I know of one banning and it was deserved other than that I don't quite know what happened.We were trucking along great, I was attacked by this person so I gave it a rest here. When I came back the place had died,and fast. As you can see I have been around for a while and have felt very at home. I do mourn the loss of 2 long term members who took an enormous amount of golfing experience, knowledge and friendship from the site when they left. I have noticed that forums like this depend on half a dozen frequent posters who tend to draw others in because of their talents and willingness to help, sadly we have lost some of these. so I am asking people to post.It's golf for goodness sake there has got to be 101 questions out there guys and there is no such thing as a silly question when it comes to golf!

Spirited discussions are OK as long as the discussion is about golf and not attacks to the person. I feel many good members have left the site due to the way a few people have used insulting behaviour to others. As a Forum Moderatior I will remove anyone resorting to this in future, hopefully people can discuss the game and help each other while showing respect for others opinions. I too like a good debate on technical issues and will encourage healthy exchanges of views.
