    Re: world cup disgrace

    Wow

I have to agree with Ricky, although you must learn to put things in a little less offensive way, we are all patriotic after all.

Had the shoe being on the other foot and Ronaldo had stood on a player would we have tried to get him sent off..........!!!

The problem is they 'were' team mates, I think Ronaldo will leave because the Reds will boo him off, Me and Liam will not be going to up to Utd again next season untill he has gone.

Ricky all I will say is Cardiff fans smash up our city every year, especially if they loose. As for Wales loosing in the world cup quarter final, we will have to see what you fans reaction will be if your team ever get there...........

It just a pity that we don't have a Great Britain team, we would probably walk it.

    Ian.

      Re: world cup disgrace

Rooney wasn't sent off for putting his foot in the wrong place, instead he mouthed himself into that red card (which is stupid beyond belief, but still something footballers seem eager to do nevertheless). I don't know what he said, but it was probably nothing nice.

English supporters can be like animals and many of them should not be allowed inside the country let alone the arena, but that is not the teams fault.

        Hi Peter,

I have to agree, youth is a strange thing and unfair decisions don't help but fuel this sort of bad behaviour, you are correct the push seem to encourage the ref to send him off (Argentinian Ref.......another bad decision for the FA, considering our record).

You must agree Peter that our fans are much better behaved than they were many years ago, and lets not forget all countries have "animal fans".

It just good that our golfing communities are gentelmen.

        Ian.

          Re: world cup disgrace

Ian, I wasn't trying to suggest that only English fans can behave badly. Many other European countries (Sweden included) have had and still have problems with hooligans and "fans" who are only looking for opportunities to drink, steal, destroy and pick fights.

A great effort has been done throughout Europe to identify and stop the worst offenders before they even leave their home country or town and visiting (or host!) a soccer game today is a lot less dangerous than it was just a few years ago.

                  Re: world cup disgrace

I have to agree, I was trying to post a similar reponse earlier but it doesn;t seem to have appears.

A few points, firstly Ronaldo is not a sportsmen, unlike Tiger who showed pure dissappointment at winning a major by a fellow competior missing a putt (anyone know where?)

More importantly, this is a golf forum. Keep the football chat for the pub with mates you know well and will not offend (or at least it will be taken in good spirit).

RHARRIS06 - you have apologised for you previous threads (before my time but I guess you upset some people).

So do you think comments like (Deleted) are improving your profile? Firstly, at least make comments with a valid arguement (see you english teacher re essay structure) and secondly you are likely to upset some with these comments.

If you want to know the facts about international football violence there is something called the internet that will give you FACTS. Yes, England have a issue but have a far high proportion of real fans, there for the football. ( I myself am watching italy-germany and am supporting germany to win only as they are hosting and will give a good atmosphere in the country for future matches).

However, the problem is far wider spread that some minds maybe able to imagine!
