    Re: just learn golf..

Welcome to golf and welcome to GTO. I am one of the professional staff linked to the site.

The loft of a standard 9-iron is 44 degrees. Your ball flight should be within 1 degree up or down from that. That would be an expected ball flight. So your 45 degree flight is about right.

You can remember this for practice and for when you go onto the golf course:
To check if the ball will fly high enough to clear an object, say a bunker or a bush, put the club down on the ground with the club head facing you, the grooves pointing up and the grip pointing to the target. Now stand on the face (gently) and this will lift the grip up. The ball should follow the path of the shaft! That is a secret I learnt many years ago and I use it all the time.
