It does not seem to matter how much i open the face of the club at address when i strike the the ball it always sems to pull round to the left. What do i need to do different?

Hi Stuart,
First and simple thing to look at is your grip either your left is very strong or more often it's the right hand........if the right is tucked under the shaft this causes the hook your asking about.
There is a grip section at this site....start there.

If you are pulling the shots you are coming from outside in. Your arms are outracing your body and the shot is taking off directly left of centre. Try to bring your attack on the ball from the inside or along the target line to get your shots straightened out. If you are hooking (starting straight and curving left) and holding your clubface open, you are turning your wrists over too soon - use GregJWillis' right hand drill:http://members.cox.net/gregjwillis/LESSON1.htmComment
