Do I need head covers for irons?

Just bought my first set of clubs - the woods have head covers but not the irons. I saw a set of head covers for irons online. Do I need them?

for what they cost they are worth having!
not only do they protect the clubheads but they cut down on the noise created by clubheads knocking together
