  • Beginners Tip

    Hi Everyone,
I've posted this because I believe it may help those just starting out.
Find an 18 hole par 3 golf course. You will find most of them have an on-course pro and are all very approachable and eager to help.
You will find that it helps your short game immensely, some are quite challenging and you meet other addicted golfers.
I spent my first 6 months playing one of these courses and had a wonderful time.
    Happy golfing
    Regards
    Peter

There are plenty of days when I'd love to have a pitch and putt close by - basically a place to work on your approach shots and then getting up and down when you miss.

The big plus also is that it would only take a couple of hours and you can squeeze that in easily, versus a 5 hour round on a full course. If you can swing a PW well, you can extend that to the long clubs.

The driving range I use has a 9 hole pitch and putt course around it that is open other than mid winter. I do enjoy a round after a practice session on the range.
