        Wet bunkers are always problematic because of the inconsisency (spelling?) and the variable with the height you need to clear the lip and the amount of carry you need...

        However, what I suggest you to is "forget the sand" and play them much you'd play off asphalt or pine needles ... just skim it night off the top and eliminate the variables.

        Take a club with a fair bit of loft, not much bounce and man, commit to the shot and keep your hands ahead of the club so "nip" it off and use the grooves to get some bite off the ball.

          if your really having problems in the sand and i was as we have very deep bunkers and often have 6 feet + front revetter face to them. i went to see the local teaching pro and had an hour lesson on getting out of links greenside bunkers. it was well worth the £25.
