assuming PW is 48*, then GW 52*, SW 56* and LW 60*

Try to keep the loft between each club 4* if possible - for consistancy purposes.

Re: Lob WEdge ! Full Swing?

When I use a 4 wedge system, I copy most of the tour pros and:

      48* PW
      52* AW
      56* SW
      60* LW

These 70* wedges are dangerous! They just about get the ball up quickly enough to hit you in the face.

Why would you want a 70 deg anyway?

Dunno actually, if I played a course with US Open style rough around the greens, it would be great, the ball pops just about straight up. Because you use a very upright swing the club doesn't get chocked up in the thick grass.

Also maybe if I was playing a course with a lot of DEEP bunkers, I'd consider carrying one.

Re: Lob WEdge ! Full Swing?

70* degree wedges were developed by one of the manufacturers' tour van's last year after some of the players asked for a wedge that will get through the collar rough. It was meant to be a specialist club more than a club they'd use every round.

But they were never released to the public, they were only made for their tour players.

If I played the US Open, I'd carry one for for sure and drop my 3-iron (it aint't going to stop on those greens, so why even try!).

The 70* wedge I tried was made by Hazzar Millens but they're also made by a few other wedge specialists on order. In fact, a company called Golf Technologies have just produced an 80* wedge that you can buy over the internet.
