Are the legs supposed to move laterally on the downswing when chipping or do they remain still? Ive got the ball positioned off the toe of my back foot, hands out infront of the ball and im choked up on the club. What about spine angle and knee flex? Should this be similar to the full swing?

Re: chipping questions
My main thought when chipping is having most of my weight on my forward foot (left foot for right hander). I do have my knees in a flexed position. I really concentrate on getting the club face aligned to the spot on the green I want to hit and then keep my eye on the ball through contact.

Re: chipping questions
Legs should not move in any way. Spine angle and knee flex will be dictated by your position to the ball's hight for that shot. Normal angle and flex will be the majority of your shots, but if the ball is on a hill, or below your feet, you will have to adjust just like any regualr shot.

A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.

Re: chipping questions
I employ the Dave Pelz method of chipping (and it sounds like you do, too).
Here are the keys to success with this method when playing the ball off your back foot (where it seems like you already are).
1) Grip down on the club - this helps to deloft the club a little more.
2) Place the bulk of your weight on your front foot - this will help your swing consistency (this is experience talking!)
3) Use a putting stroke - rock the shoulders. There should be NO coil, no twisting against the hips. This is a chip - a bump and run - so you want it back on the ground ASAP.
4) This is possibly the most important key. KEEP THE WRISTS FIRM. Do NOT let them break down until the ball is back on the ground. If you let the wrists break down, you'll either chunk or skull your chip - I guarantee it.
