    GolfBald,

I tried the ripstop shot. I tried it with my back foot pointed at the ball like you say and regular cause I wanted to do it my way. Your way worked better. I guess it felt like I started at a impact position and swung back an thru. I folded my arm like it said on the sheet and let it go through. The ball came outlower took one long hop and checked hard. The same shot from the deep stuff rolled a little more after the check but it was lots better than my normal shot. You say you can open the club a little on this but didn't tell how to adjust can you explain it????????????????????????????????????

I gave these to a friend of mine. He's killin me man. He learned 4 already.

    Ace,

If you need to play it higher and shorter with the same results you can open the club up until it sits flat on the ground. The adjustments are open the stance about the same angle you are opening the club. Remember the most important thing with this shot is to keep the clubface pointed at the target without the visual compensation. Weight on the left side will create the correct angle into the ball. No weight shift!!! The trick is not to let the club get any farther outside even though the clubface is open. You will see some wild shanks if you do. Good posture, arms hanging straight down and swing through, don't stop at the bottom. With your right foot pointed toward the ball it should feel like your right elbow is hanging outside your body.

I was practicing this shot last night, pitching over a hill to a downhill slope and trickling it to the hole. Had the clubface wide open in the rough, it works but takes a lot of practice.
