Re: Correct swing from the sand?
My method in bunkers where the ball is not plugged (I am quite good out of bunkers):
Open stance - align feet a couple yards left of target
Open clubface - aim face the same distance as you opened your stance to the right this time though! the clubface should be more lofted now
Imagine a V being produced by your setup! Feet point left and club face points right with the line of symmetry of the V (halfway between where your feet are pointing and clubface is pointing)pointing towards where you want your ball to finish, i.e. the flag!
Swing length: Double what it would be for a basic chip shot and your backswing should be wristier than normal (more wrist hinge)
Weaken your grip a little by placing your left hand only a little more anti-clockwise round the grip!
Swing along feet line
Aim to hit the sand approx 2 inches behind the ball and keep the clubface open through impact don't let your right hand overtake your left!
Another feeling I go for when playing out of sand is to imagine throwing a stone to skim across water! Try this feeling now and then try and match it with a club!
persevere with this method! Sorry its so long winded but wanted to make sure it was clear!!
