A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.
For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.
Re: How about a golf Journal ?
For you lucky buggers playing on a tour, talk about your competitions, how you played, etc. More like a golf blog.

I have just installed the GTO Journal/Blog system. the link can be found in the navbar near the top of each page. Entitled "Journals" You can create your own and view other members from here.
You can use it to keep a record of your golf games and/or progress of your golf swing or any lessons that you have had, or any other discussions that you feel relevant.

Right on.
Now people can read how I'm a better clubmaker than I am a golfer.

Re: How about a golf Journal ?
It's a hobby that I'm trying to make a part-time job. It's more along the lines of repair: Regrip, reshaft, bend clubs, that kind of thing.
You usually get in by thinking to yourself "I hate the price I've gotta pay to get clubs regripped. I must be able to do it cheaper"... so you buy solvent, two sided tape, a hook-knife, and some grips.
Then you learn that it's tough to do it that way. Then you buy a compressor. Then you have to justify buying a compressor. So you decide to start offering regripping. Since you bought a vise for holding clubs while you grip them, you start thinking that you could probably do reshafts...
There's a reason why it's called the darkside...

Same for me. I still do grips the 'old fasioned way' and change over about 5 sets a year for people. I also reshaft and build clubs, mostly for friends and family. I would like to get more business, but then I would need more equipment. Haven't travel too far down the dark path yet....

You keep talking to me, and soon you'll be just as poor, uh, skilled as me.

Re: How about a golf Journal ?
HI,
it's an improvement that everyone can start their own "journal" or a blog. I have been blogging about "personal development program" http://xo4us.blogspot.com
I think that this is not a real journal or even an interesting blog for most readers. BUT by doing a blog or a journal with a group of people that know something and are interested in golf - we might be able to make something worth reading.
I think that there is a lot of stuff in GTO forum - one interesting department on a blog could be reviewing the latest discussions. Summing up threads and commenting them.
Also journal needs to have pictures. The layout is very important. It needs to be easy to read and look good!
If there is a group of writers - maybe 10 contributers that are willing to try this for 6 months - I am interested in joining the team. (I believe there is no money involved. You cannot make a buck out of this - unless it will become very popular and you can sell adds to the journal.)
BUT if this kicks off - I am IN.

The journal is basically a place were we can all put down our thoughts/ideas/lessons in order to see our progression. You are able to add pictures to the post by clicking the insert image icon in the message tools (above the message box). The image has to have a URL (web address) of where it resides. If you want you can email me the image admin@golf-tuition-online.com and I will approve and upload it and send you the address of where it is located. I am looking for a work around to this to allow uploading with the post.
Enjoy
