I am working on the contents of a monthly newsletter at present. This would obviously remind people that have forgotten GTO... Primarily it will contain a list of all the recent posts as well as some topical info for the month..

Encouraging people to post is a difficult one. I believe there may be many folks that may be put off posting in fear of having their views attacked and pride dented. This is hard to combat..

Increasing posts is something that I would obviously like to happen so if anyone has any ideas that they feel might help in this area let me know and we will give them a try..

A fair point Greg. In a forum there will be differing views, especially in golf. It would be impractical to create a sterile environment where a differing point of view was not acceptable.

I think the problem lies where there is a lack of politeness or sensitivity when commenting on others posts. Some people are just outright abusive and rude if their view is disagreed with, in some cases though it seems there may be a sense of humour shortcut.

I can only suggest that moderation needs to be quick and effective in cases of abusive behaviour.

You can encourage me to post if you answer my bloody messages Greg. I apologise if these are not getting through I have tried"contact us", "home" several PM's and, open posts on 2 sites . Since I can't get acknowledged by Greg H perhaps someone could relay this as I have had a persistent clitch I my system since the new format and am considering bailing to a different site which would be a bummer 'cause I have made friends here. And before you say it, my date and time are correct. Now I must copy and paste this or I will lose it

Sorry I cant be of any help. The new system seems to be working fine for me.

I will also send a PM to Greg, he normally responds quickly, maybe he is away at the moment?

Thank you Brian, he may even be ill, in which case my apology stands. But as you know this has been going on for quite a long time and the only reply I have has been from you. Now my wife is in her 3rd year of an information technology diploma, she might have missed something but it is highly unlikely. This needs investigating, it only happen here and I am a member of several other sites where it does not happen so please do something
