I was at the range the other day and I was hitting spectacular, so I decided to play a quick round by myself. I ended up jionging with some guy who whoots scratch, and I think it subconciously made me nervous and tense. I was back playing my usual golf (120+ on a par 72) instead of that great hitting at the range. The kid ended up leaving on the last two holes and I was a bit ahead of the group in front of me, so I slowed down my swing and really thought it through and tried to feel it. I realized that I was not letting my right shoulder release through because I was so tense. It was a 201yrds (from blue tees, I do suck but I like and challenge and want me monies worth) par 3. I took out my 6i and smacked that ball dead on line, never saw it go so strait before. It landed about 15' past the hole and bouced/rolled about 3-4' more. I missed the birdie putt and made par with a 3' finish up. Then the next tee was a 5 519 yrd dogleg left. I took out my driver aimed right and drawed it perfectly where I wanted to 290yds down the fairway (as I found out later because I could not see the fairway from the teebox). So I took out my 3w and smacked that along the leftside of the green so as not to hit it in the water to the right of the fairway and it had a slight (intentional) slice and rolled onto the green. I just hit a green in two! I missed my eagle and then clenched that birdy from about 10' away. Its just too bad no one else saw it. By far my best day ever (despite the score of 115) I was very happy about the par and birdy but I was also quite surprised and happy to hit my 6i about 205 (of the deck, I didn't even use a tee) and 290 with my driver another personal best. My only problem, I cna't fit all 4 records on one trophy ball. I haven't been able to play since, but I can't wait till I go next time, see if I can't keep it up, I would even be happy with a 90 or round of bogey golf.
